Any kidney stone suffers out there want to share their experiences with me?

I’m not sure if mine is chronic or not, but last month I passed 6 stones from both sides of my kidneys, but just this past Christmas, I had a 5mm pass finally, but it was broken up into seven pieces; with #5 being the largest and taking 22 hours to finally come through.

I was in such pain and agony the entire time–despite the hydrocodone. Didn’t get a whole lot of sleep during this time-frame, and I am so exhausted and tired.

My left side feels like it had gone through the meat-grinder, but the strong lemon water my wife gave me helped immensely.

Do you have any stories you’d like to share?

As a guy, this is about as close to giving birth that it can get.

I’m 54 and have passed kidney stones about 6-8 times. It was never painful for me, but I hear that is the exception. The last time I even noticed it was when my urine turned dark pink because of blood in it. I was told that the stones often scrape the uretha and causes some bleeding. Otherwise, for me, it’s just a shivering/tickling sensation when they finally pass.

I’m very greatful that it’s not painful for me. Lots of guys have told me that it is the greatest pain they have ever felt.
